About me
Welcome! My name is Carlyn Grace Osborn and I have been involved with community management, outreach & communications, and end-user engagement since 2011.
I’m currently a Community Manager at the Library of Congress, where I connect with users of the By the People crowdsourced transcription program. In this role, I facilitate community-building, run our social accounts, moderate our user discussion forum, and gather user feedback. You can read more about our program here, here, and here.
I graduated from Johns Hopkins in 2014 with a B.A. in the History of Science and a minor in Earth & Planetary Sciences. I graduated in December 2017 from the University of Maryland College of Information Studies with a M.L.I.S. involving coursework in data science, data analytics, and digital humanities. In 2023, I became a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) by the ScrumAlliance, and was a recent recipient of an inaugural Librarian of Congress Award.
